Have Your Child's Portrait Hand Drawn
in the Loving Protection of His Savior!
Your child’s portrait can be drawn in the place of the child seen above, receiving Jesus' blessing. If he or she is the right age to fit with this body, and you have a photo that will work with it, we can change just the head. If your child's age is too different, then we will need a photo of his whole body in a compatible pose.

Or two, or three of your children can be drawn surrounded by His love, in the picture on the left. A fourth child can also be added. A toddler could be standing in front, or an older child could be kneeling or sitting cross legged, leaning back on Jesus' knee. A fifth and sixth child can be added, standing behind Jesus.

These charcoal drawings are available in two sizes - 11” X 14”, and 9” X 12”.

PHOTOGRAPHS

Reference photos should be of good quality. They must be big enough that heads measure at least 3/4" high. They must be in focus. And, if they are digital, they must be of high resolution. Please NO INK JET PRINTS unless the face is at least 4" high.

Either just the heads can be substituted, or the children's whole bodies, if you supply photos of your children in compatible poses.

Choose photos of your child's head that are similar to the head of the child he or she is replacing. You should see them from the same point of view. Are you looking up or down at him? Is your child's head facing in a similar direction?

If you have no photos of your child's head that will fit on the bodies of the children in the drawings, you'll need to pose him in a similar pose and take photos we can use to replace the whole child. For the single portrait, pose him or her on an adult's knee.

Clothing - modern clothing is perfectly acceptable, if that is what you prefer. If you'd like to pose your child in clothing of Jesus' time, there are a number of things you can try. Rent a costume from a commercial costume rental store. Borrow a costume from your church or school. Try an adult's short sleeve T-shirt as a tunic, or a loose bathrobe.

Lighting - Please don't use FLASH photography! Flash lighting flattens out all the 3D qualities of a face. All the children in the drawings above were lit from a three quarter angle - from the right side of front. It looks best if the lighting on your child comes from the same direction. Try using the light from a window that IS NOT facing bright sunlight.

If your favorite photo of your child does not face the right way - the whole drawing can be flipped around to accommodate your favorite shot. Look at the drawings as they appear below. Do you have a reference photo of your child that would work facing this way?

Would your favorite photos fit better in this position?

Remember that the light in your photo should now come from the left side of the front.
